ELENA MESHKOVA

Elena Meshkova is a multidisciplinary artist. She graduated from the Volga State University of Service with a degree in Decorative and Applied Arts and Folk Crafts.

Elena’s creative focus encompasses a wide range of techniques and materials: from wood and textiles to glass and plasticine. In 2017, she began working on the redesign of furniture and interior objects, and in 2019 she launched the RECYCLEFORM project, which reveals the potential of discarded materials by highlighting the hidden beauty within their imperfections.

“I believe that even the aspects we perceive as unattractive, the things we consider negative, possess their own value.”

Elena Meshkova’s works have been presented on the international ETSY platform. Some of her creations have become part of private collections belonging to collectors from more than 15 countries. In 2023, the artist became a resident of the GetArtFit school. In 2024, two of her projects were selected for the shortlist of the “Designed and Made in Russia” competition.

“Nature and tactile sensations occupy an important place in my creative work. I am interested in finding balance — both in the techniques of execution and in internal processes. Creating, for me, is a necessity, an opportunity to transform complex states and tension into silence and calm, into the true self that returns to this point of balance. Having received this inner fulfillment, I transmit a concentrated state to the viewer. I am drawn to a form of silent interaction with the world.”
