OLGA SILANTEVA
Olga Silanteva graduated in 2012 from the Furniture Design Department of the S. G. Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry. Since then, she has been creating furniture, designing interiors, and developing custom interior objects. She is also a designer at one of Moscow’s leading studios — Artburo 1/1, founded under the direction of Elena Solovieva and Ilya Klimov.
Among the professionals who have greatly influenced her work, Olga highlights Piet Boon and Vincenzo De Cotiis. In their projects, she especially appreciates the approach to materials, where the complexity and character of an object are revealed through its textures and tactile qualities.
Her own creations are based on three fundamental principles: natural minimalism, ergonomics, and aesthetics — the three essential vectors guiding the development of each piece.
Olga prefers to work exclusively with natural materials. This philosophy defines her furniture collections, which are based primarily on wood and linen. Even the structural elements and joints of her pieces are crafted using traditional wooden joinery techniques.
